How to Set Up a Case and Policies with Agentic

Steps to create a new case and set up policies using Advocate's Agentic functionality.

This article will show the steps to create a new case and new policies with Advocate's Agentic functionality.

What you'll need:

  • Policy documents filled out with as much policy information as possible.

  • Any relevant Asset documents.

Step 1: Upload Documents and Answer Basic Case Questions

  • From your Advocate Home Page click "+ Add Case".

  • Drag and drop the case documents into the designated box. Or click on the box to upload the documents from your computer.

  • The documents will appear below the box along with two new fields "Case Type" and "Risk Profile"

  • From the "Case Type" dropdown select one of the case types:

    • New Case – this is for Cases with brand new insurance policies.

    • Renewal Case – this is for Cases with existing insurance policies that are renewing now or in the future.

  • Select the "Risk Profile" that applies to this Case.

Note: Your organization will be pre-set with certain risk profiles, and you will only be able to choose from the profile available.

  • Select the "Asset Type".

  • Click "Apply".

  • Click "Create Case with AI" .

Step 2: Confirm Asset Types

  • If the Ai Agent cannot confirm the asset type previously selected, it will prompt you to confirm. Once confirmed click "Save".

Step 3: Check Case Information

  • Click the "Overview" Tab to check for any missing Case information

  • If the Insurance Contact does not already exist in the Advocate system, a new insurance contact will need to be created.

  • Add Insurance Contacts by clicking the "+" next to the "Insurance Contacts" section of the Overview page.

  • Click "+ New Contact"

  • Select the contact Type and enter the name and email address of the new contact.

  • Click "Create Contact"

  • Update the case Details by selecting the pencil icon to the right.

  • Edit any missing Case details. All required fields are marked with a red asterisk.

  • Click "Save Changes"

Step 4: Confirm the Policy Data is Correct

  • Click the "Policies" Tab.

  • Select a policy by clicking the insurance product name.

The Ai Agent will have extracted as much policy information as possible from the uploaded documents.

  • Start by checking the policy settings.

  • It's most important to check the fields with the red asterisks.

  • Click "Save".

  • Next check the "Compliance Checklist" and fill in any missing information.

  • Click "Save".

  • Repeat these checks for each policy created.

The Case and Policies are now ready.
