Understanding Statuses in the Advocate Platform

This article will help users understand the various statuses found in the Advocate platform.

There are two main objects which use statuses to indicate stages of required action: Cases and Policies.

1. Case Statuses

Status

Description

The Case has been created but has not yet been submitted for review. Assets, Insurance Contact information, and Policies need to be created on the Case before moving the Case to "Open".

The case has been Onboarded to the platform and is ready for the next action steps.

The Case is currently being worked on. Policies and Assets are able to be reviewed and worked.

All Policies have been reviewed and Approved and the Case has been moved to Approved.

The Case and all associated Assets, Tasks, and Policies are no longer active.

2. Policy Statuses

Status

Description

The Policy has been onboarded and is ready for next actions to be taken. This may include approving an active Policy or creating a new Policy term for renewal.

The Policy is active and is currently being reviewed. The Policy Settings and Compliance Checklist are able to be edited.

Outreach to the Insurance Contact(s) has started for the collection of renewal documents.

All compliance items are compliant and the Policy has been approved.

The Policy is no longer active. All related Tasks should be cancelled.

Policy statuses are dependent on which status the Case is in. Some policy statuses may not be available in all Case statuses.
